WF299 TDR cable Fault Locator

is used for automatically testing the precise location of the coaxial cable and communication cable's broken wires, mixed wires, ground gas and related cable fault.

Automatic Test

Press ON/OFF key to open the
device, connect the test cable and
press Auto, button F4 to proceed
the full automatic test, Automatic
select the range and the cursor will
be positioned automatically.
The automatic test result are for
reference only.

 

Note: The default setting of VOP is 200m / μS when the device is turned on. During the
automatic test, the user should confirm whether the VOP value is ok. For how to change the VOP, please refer to the description in
the next section.

Manual Test
Press Modify key F3 or the short cut number key in front of the parameters, and use the up and down keys to modify the current settings and parameters.
Range modify
During the manual test, the range determines the max measurement distance of the cable. Operators should choose longer range than the real cable distance;. To modify the range,
can press the modify key repeatedly or directly press the number 4 key until the Range
xx becomes in black, then press up and down key to change the range.

Gain Modify
press the modify key or directly press the number 5 key until the gain XX becomes in black. At this time, press the up and down
keys to change the gain (the gain can be adjusted from 0 to 100). Then press the manual key F1, will display the new waveform.
Modify the VOP
The VOP accuracy directly affects the test results accuracy.Therefore,should carefully modify the VOP according to the cable type.
Press the modify key or directly press the number 7 key until the VOP xx becomes in black, then press up and down keys to modify.

1. DAGC (Digital Gain Automatic Control) system:
The gain can be modified digitally. Eliminate the waveform distortion caused by the potntiometer knob. It can also do pure linear
adjustment, which is convenient for manual testing.
2. Digital waveform automatic recognition technology: automatically recognize the waveform that are difficult for human to
determine.
3.Using ARM CPU with FPGA technology, can quickly perform various complex operations and determine fault waveform accurately.
4. Waveform comparison function, it is convenient to compare the test waveform of the fault cable and the normal cable, and
clearly find the fault point location.
5. Large-screen LCD color display, humanization design of the interface menu, fast digital press button, easy for users to
operate.
6.High-power lithium battery, which can be used for up to ten hours (with specialized power charger).
7. With data interface to support customers upgrade the system remotely.
